We caught up with Christopher to find out a little bit more about our competition winner.

What will you spend your £50 Amazon vouchers on?

“This voucher will be going towards university next year, depending on what i find on Amazon which will be related to my course.”

What are your careers plans for the future now that you are finishing your placement?

“Hopefully, i wish to return to Xerox in the future as i have really enjoyed my time there. If this is not an option then, i may consider a future abroad as this is something i would like to do. I would like to enter a sales based role as this would give me a variety in my work.”

Top placement tip:

“My top placement tip is too apply early for placements as top jobs and companies tend to advertise earlier.”

Why did you decide to review your placement?

“I thought i would share the experience i have had, and wanted to promote Xerox as a fantastic employer for students where you are treated as an employee and not just a student.”

“I will be spending my £50 on some designer sunglasses ready for the great summer we are going to have!!”

What are your careers plans for the future now that you are finishing your placement?

“Once I graduate, if I was offered, I think would go back to George as an assistant merchandiser. Otherwise I would like to find a job in London within retail and work my way up the company until I am rich!”

Top placement tip:

“Always ask if you have a question, everyone has been in your position at some time in their life and they would rather you get it right than not ask the question and get it wrong. Don’t be scared to ask! This also shows you are interested if you ask questions”

Why did you decide to review your placement?

“I reviewed my placement because it was worth reviewing! Hopefully feedback will be given to the company I have worked for and they can develop placement experiences for the future”

“I will put some of the money towards books for my final year reading Geography at University”

What are your careers plans for the future now that you are finishing your placement?

“This placement has opened so many doors for me career wise, I am now looking into completing a planning masters to become a chartered town planner. This years experience will give me a competitive advantage in the job market”

“There will be a placement out there for you – dont give up searching, it can be challenging to get a placement, but well worth it. When on placement take up every opportunity that becomes available to you”
