Last Wednesday Chris and Ollie attended the 2010 onrec (Online Recruitment) Awards at the funky 5* Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in London. We were short-listed for “Best Niche Job Board” and our expectations were low as we were one of 19 other companies on the ‘not-so-short’-list!

However, the RMP Team are never one to turn down a 3 course meal and free wine, so the tuxedo’s were dusted off for the second time in a month and off we went.

The pate starter went down particularly well with Ollie and the lamb, if not slightly cold was washed down nicely with the strangely tasty table wine…

After the Jobsite’s and Monster’s of this world won their respective categories, we reached the eagerly anticipated “Best Niche Job Board” category.  All the short-listed companies were read out in X Factor style with some well-known competition and as we really didn’t expect to win at all, it was a pretty awesome surprise when RateMyPlacement was announced as the winners!

We successfully navigated our way on-stage to collect the Award and drank a few more glasses of wine to celebrate!

So there you have it, RateMyPlacement is now recognised as the “Best Niche Job Board” in online recruitment – nice. We even managed to hide the win from Ali until the next morning to surprise him on April Fool’s Day!
