Chris

Another week down, and I have to admit, it was hard to get up in the morning (especially after a weekend involving Royal Ascot and a trip back down to Bournemouth to see uni friends…)

However, the past week has been good, and who would have thought – stuff I learnt at uni actually came in handy! Highlight of the week was writing a press release for a book coming out which was to be sent to numerous countries…! So, pressure was on to get it right. Much to my amazement, my colleague who asked me to write it said nothing needed changing to it and sent it out straight away. Very pleasing.

We also had a mass brain storming session in the boardroom for a new computer game, which too showed the teams character and produced productive, dynamic and promising results, which I was glad to take part in.

Living for the weekend

Of course, along with the good came the usual work experience type jobs. There was some mundane researching, the infamous numerous “screen grabs” and printing etc. However, I did realise that if I was not there, then these jobs would still need to be done and the little jobs add up to make a bigger picture.

The 9-6 routine did start to set in on me a bit… Work really does start to take over. After a half an hour walk home each day, I do feel really quite tired. And then I eat. Then sit down. Then it’s time for bed. Then work… Again. Slightly tedious. Someone did say to me at the start of the week – “You really live for the weekends when you work”. I admit, I am starting to see their point…

Still, onwards and upwards.
