So, my days have become a lot busier since my placement support tutor came to visit! I am now spending more time with the QAs, one afternoon was spent with a QA in the low risk and collation area which was really interesting. We audited the CCPs such as the flume, kettle cooking and sleeve and labeling, and I also got the chance to see the new developments for the new products such as the expansion of the low risk area and the new equipment. It was good spending time in the factory as in my current role I don’t get much time to do this. It was also nice to speak to the people who work in factory about their jobs and day to day life. Due to all of the new products which we will be launching soon, they have now advertised my job. It was strange seeing it come through on email! They have said that the new person will be starting in May as I finish at the end of July so I will have enough time to train them up. A few people have spoken to me about it as there is currently not a job description for it so I’m really excited about a new person coming in and training them up! I think it will be nice to have someone to work with for a change as a lot of the time at the moment I feel that I work very independently. Although I am enjoying my time here, I also can’t wait to get back to uni!! I feel I am more suited to the student way of life!!
