Hi everybody,

After my depressing blog last time, things have now picked up and I am a lot happier, that is on money terms!! and not the working life!! The past couple of weeks have possibly been the most stressful weeks in my time at placement at OutoKumpu, I do not know if this is because I am becoming the best salesperson in Outokumpu and with the glory comes the stress. Or if it is because I am becoming lack lustre at my job and becoming stuck in a rut? I have been stressed but I enjoy the situations I have been placed in, thats why I am happier due to the stress and pressure. Is this right? am I ok to be like this? Thriving on pressure. Awesome!

So what has been happening to put me in situations I hear you ask?

Carlsberg

Well, I have had some major customer problems. In which I thought they could be rectified but they could not so we went through many arguments on how it was my fault and what am I going to do about it, in which basically I replied that I was going to do nothing as there was nothing wrong with the stainless steel. This then led to heated emails, which then led to heated phone calls, which then led to heated visits. After I went to see them and the stainless steel 3 times in two days, we were both agreed that yes the plate did not appeal aesthetically, but basically on a plate that big (11metre by 3metre) it was impossible to have no imperfections unless they paid big big bucks!! After a fair amount of arguing and so on, they realised I was right and we won!! As this was going on my work was piling up and obviously the pressure increasing, and to cut a long story short. I am excellent and I completed everything and everybody was happy!

Also I went to University over the periods of blogs, to do a  little catching up, basically that was pants and not worth going but we did get our lunch paid for!! To look forward to in the future, I have a review with my manager, to see how I am coming along. I don’t think much will be going wrong there but will be interesting to see what he thinks of my achievements! And also I have a couple of big jobs coming up and which I can see going drastically wrong as we are having many problems in the works. Who knows??

Asta la Vista.
