My placement support tutor came to visit me last week to review how I am getting on and if I am having any problems or issues. The only improvement she could see was to get me more experience in other areas of the business and spending more time with the QAs to see the different aspects of their jobs. I am now aiming to go on more visits to suppliers and am trying to spend a couple of hours a day with a QA, although this is difficult to fit into my day! Yesterday the QA Supervisor showed me how to do a wash-out on the beef lasagne 400g, looking for fat or gristle which is then weighed and recorded as we are getting a lot of complaints linked to this therefore we are monitoring it and trying to improve.
