Ten secrets about working in IT.

Here’s an amusing article entitled the ‘Ten secrets about working in IT’. Ok, so it’s not really aimed at students on placement or internship, but for those of you thinking of a career on the technical side of IT, it might give you an insight into what you can expect in the future!
Personal favourite is number five, largely due to the fact that Ali and Oliver know little about IT (yes, despite running their own online business), I’ve become the RateMyPlacement techie:
“5. Your non-technical co-workers will use you as personal technical support for their home PCs.
Your co-workers (in addition to your friends, family, and neighbours) will view you as their personal tech support department for their home PCs and home networks.
They will email you, call you, and/or stop by your office to talk about how to deal with the virus that took over their home PC, or the wireless router that stopped working…”
This is probably quite true, but hey, if you love computers then you probably won’t mind anyway.
